CUB'S EYE VIEW |

This is a report written by a Cub: I am in the 18th St Albans Homewood Cub Pack. There are six boys in each six. The sixes are red, grey, yellow, white and purple. I am in red six. We meet every Tuesday evening at the Group Headquarters. Each week Akela organises several activities. Some are map reading, orienteering, and indoor hockey. My favourite is Colditz, which you play in the dark, hiding behind upturned tables. It is really exciting, but sometimes a bit scary.
(Cubs in Jungle Book play) I have lots of friends at Cubs and some of them go to the same school as me. Cubs wear a uniform, which is a green sweatshirt, blue trousers neckerchief and woggle. Cubs can earn badges by doing certain activities. Some of the badges are Martial Arts, Local Knowledge, Home Help and Scientist. I am doing this report as part of the Communicator badge. I also have to use a public phone, send a message on a CB radio and a few other tasks. When Cubs are invested they say their Promise and Law. |
